Canvas Parent Info

What is Canvas?

Canvas is a Learning Management System (LMS), where your student’s online learning actually happens. Students can take tests, quizzes, do homework and watch lessons.

Canvas has the ability for Parents to act as a Student Observer. You now have the ability to see what exactly is going on in your child's classes. Observers are linked to one or more students; while you cannot submit course work on their behalf, you can see grades, assignments, events and any course interaction.

How do I become an Observer?

In order to become a Student Observer you must first request a pairing code for you child. Pairing codes expire after 7 days or their first use. Pairing codes will only be sent to parents who have a verified e-mail address in Focus.

To request a pairing code, please fill out the NEOC Parent Canvas Account Request Form by clicking here.

Once you have a pairing code, please follow these steps to register an account.
