For Mac OS users, there is a system setting that may not allow you to tab onto several types of elements in a web page. To change this setting:
You can report an absence to our automated system using our Attendance Hotline: 407-870-4073
· In order for an absence to be excused, the student must submit documentation within two school days of the absence. (Please upload documentation into your FOCUS parent portal)
· Student's parents may contact our Attendance Hotline to report an absence to our automated system. Students are allowed up to 5 excused absences per semester without medical documentation; however, the parent must call our attendance hotline to excuse.
· In order for an absence to be considered medically excused, a student must provide documentation. Please upload documentation from the medical office with the exact date of the appointment(s) or illness into the FOCUS parent portal). This documentation should be submitted within two school days of the absence.
· Supporting documentation is required.
· A pre-arranged absence form must be submitted to the attendance office 10 days in advance of the absence. Pre-arranged absences may or may not be excused.
· Pre-arranged absence may include required court appearance or subpoena, special events such as state/national competitions, college/university campus tour, etc.
· School district policy only allows 3 pre-arranged excused absences per year.
· The Principal reserves the right to deny the pre-arranged absence.
· Religious absences are pre-arranged absences. The same procedures for pre-arranged absences must be followed.
· Principal may contact a religious organization for verification of the holiday.
Students tardy to school must check-in at the Front Office. Student tardies are tracked in our Student Information System. Persistent tardies to school will result in student discipline.
· Dismissals are not permitted within the last 30 minutes of the school day.
· Students must be dismissed from school by a parent or other contact on their emergency contact form.
· A government photo ID must be presented to check a student out from school.
